Spiced Hot Chocolate

Vegan, Vegetarian, Dairy Free, Gluten Free, Refined Sugar Free.

INGREDIENTS:

  • 2 cups chocolate Almond Breeze

  • 1 cup vanilla Almond Breeze

  • ½ tbsp pure cocoa powder

  • 1 tsp cinnamon

  • ¼ tsp nutmeg

  • ½ tsp all spice

  • 1 tsp coconut sugar

  • Pinch of salt

  • 1 anise star

METHOD:

  1. Whisk together almond breeze, cocoa powder, cinnamon, nutmeg and all spice in a medium saucepan. Place pan over medium heat and bring to a simmer.

  2. Add in coconut sugar and salt. Stir well together and drop in an anise star.

  3. Once milk is hot, or reached your desired heat remove pan from heat and pour into two glasses.

  4. Serve hot and enjoy! You may like to top your hot chocolate with dairy free whipped cream or ice cream, marshmallows and a dust of cocoa powder or cinnamon.
